SWIMSUIT SEASON IS HERE.
I know, I know some of y’all totally dread it but let’s be real in most parts of the world summer means less clothing in order to survive higher temperatures and you may as well have a cute suit to do it in, right?
Living in Florida swimsuits are basically a clothing staple. With warm weather 90% of the year it only makes sense to have a few different options… And if you’re me, a few dozen options. 😉 Being that I like to switch up my suits often I typically try to find good deals and as y’all already know Amazon Prime and I have a pretty deep bond. Their prices are almost always amazing and you just can’t beat 2-day shipping. I know I’m not the only impatient online shopper, right? So I thought I would share with all of you some of my favorite swimsuits I’ve ordered off Amazon (yes, I’ll link them) and share a little bit about sizing, fit, brand and how they have held up!
PS there are few things more awkward than trying to take swimsuit pictures in your house with your kids running in and out of the room every 5 minutes confused why we aren’t going in the pool if I’m in a swimmer and why I’m wearing sunglasses and a hat inside the house. #bloggerlife
PALM LEAF + STRIPES
the sexy mama spin on the one-piece
I don’t know about y’all but there are very few bikinis that I feel comfortable running around after my kids on the beach while wearing. My little guys usually want me to run around playing tag, making sand castles, scouting for sea shells and none of that involves me quietly sitting on my beach chair watching the waves crash into the shore. While you may not have a beach nearby I’m sure you can relate to the “wanting to look cute, but still covered” sentiment.
This suit totally bring that for me. The top has cups with a tie-back strap which I love so I don’t feel like I’m constantly tugging up on the top – I can make it as tight, or as loose, as I want. The tummy cut-out is super cute, too. You get the sassiness of a two-piece with the coverage & modesty of a one-piece. The pattern is also super fun too. I like mixing patterns and florals + stripes are definitely one of my favorites.
BRAND: Cupshe
FIT: I got a size small and it fit perfectly. The sides are cut a tad higher which I personally love because it makes my short legs look a little bit longer.

YELLOW POLKA DOT BIKINI
the remix
Here we go with my love for mixing patterns again! Stripes on the top, polka dots on the bottom. And yes, the bottoms are a light yellow with white dots! The modern spin on “itsy bitsy teenie weenie yellow polka dot bikini”. I love that the top is a halter. As much as I hate tan lines (which is why I do normally gravitate towards strapless suits) I love the added “security” of having straps on my suits.
BRAND: Joy & Bella
FIT: I ordered a small and it was true to size! The bottoms fit perfectly but if you have a larger chest (I’m a 34D) the sides of the halter do cut in a tad. Not enough to make me want to return it but enough to note if that sort of thing bothers you.

WHEN LIFE HANDS YOU LEMONS
wear them on your swimsuit
I love cute patterns. Obviously. Fruits are no exception. I love lemons. Especially when paired with black & white stripes. 😉 This suit right out of the package made me smile. They don’t have this exact version on Amazon anymore (in fact, I searched and it’s out of stock everywhere) but they do have a similar lemon + stripes version that I’ll link below.
BRAND: Cupshe
FIT: True to size!

CROCHET & MERLOT
a classy itsy-bitsy bikini
While this bikini is a little skimpier than I normally wear I just loved the deep merlot wine color and the cream crochet detail on the top. You could always totally pair the top with high-waist bottoms if you wanted something with a little more coverage. (I mix & match tops & bottoms often!)
BRAND: Joy & Bella
FIT: Runs small! The top and bottoms both run small on this one. I ordered a small but would have ordered a medium if I ordered again.

MONOKINI MADNESS
pinks + patterns + oh my
Deep V cut on the halter top that leaves this one-piece monokini feeling sexy but covered! The back criss-crosses and ties which is super cute and but the pattern on the front if what sold me on this suit!
BRAND: Summer Mae
FIT: True to size! I ordered a small and it fits great.

TWISTY-TIE + PALM LEAVES
the ultimate vacation suit
I was scouting for a super cute suit for my Disney Cruise to the Bahamas when I came across this one and pressed order immediately. Totally have a thing for palm leaves and I loved the wrap/tie detail on the top of this one. When it arrived it was beautiful but definitely looked tiny… Putting it on, that was confirmed and I returned and ordered a medium. The medium (which I’m wearing) arrived and fit exactly the same as the small… Pretty sure there was zero difference there. I really liked the top though so I decided to keep it and I’ll most definitely pair the top with dark green high-waist bottoms!
BRAND: Cupshe
FIT: Definitely runs small! Size up.

FLORAL PIN-UP SWIMSUIT
backless & deep v
You can’t help but feel sexy wearing this swimsuit, ladies! Plunging deep v and backless swim suit screams vintage pin-up but the design makes me think Japanese geisha. I don’t know, but I love it. If you plan on wearing this and moving around a ton I would suggest getting some fabric tape to keep it in place but I wear it laying by the pool or walking on the beach and didn’t have any slipping mishaps. 😉 This suit comes in a ton of different patterns but this one specifically is called “Floral Red.”
BRAND: Cocoship
FIT: True to size!

I’ll be sure to do a PART 2 bathing suit review come mid-summer because I’m sure I’ll have a whole new round of Amazon Favs to share with y’all! 😉 Happy Swimsuit Shopping!
