Welcome to my little slice of the Internet, sweet friends!
So… WHO AM I? I’m a 30-something-year-old living in sunny Florida with her (loving) husband, two (crazy) little boys and (an even crazier) Boston Terrier minutes from the beach. I’m a self-diagnosed shopaholic that finds more joy in getting things at a steal of a price than a splurge (but hey, those happen too – no one is perfect.) I love all things Target, and Amazon Prime and binge Netflix daily. I love graphic tees, leggings, messy buns and pink lip gloss. I prefer tea to coffee and try to follow a gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free diet (except for when I pass a Chik-Fil-A and then all bets are off.) I have a small obsession with mermaids and am fully convinced I was one in another life. I’m yoga-obsessed and rarely ever miss a day. There’s just something about learning to be all bendy that leaves me craving for more. Outside of being wife, mama, online shopping addict and self-proclaimed yoga mermaid my “day job” is that of a Lifestyle Coach. I’m a people person that loves being able to interact with as many new people a day as possible and being able to help them find joy and passion in their lives – while getting fit and healthy? Well that’s just icing on the (gluten and dairy free) cupcake my friends.
I married my high school sweetheart in May 2009 at DISNEY WORLD! Yes, we totally had a Disney wedding and it was just as amazing as you could imagine it would be. We met when I was 17 and he was 20 – just two “punk rock” kids with big dreams for the future, a future we hoped we would build together… And we did. ♡
7 years ago, at just 25 years old, I found out I was pregnant with my first baby, a little boy! Parker Noah Richardson. Nothing could have prepared me for the incredible joy that becoming a mother entailed. Just 20 months after Parker was born Mason Chase Richardson came into this world. My heart got a whole lot fuller and my life got a whole lot crazier and I couldn’t imagine life any other way!
MUST HAVE ALL THE THINGS. It’s always been my philosophy about life – can’t help it – I’ve tried. BUT, I try to stay on a budget which is why Target is my best friend with Amazon Prime a close second. Of course, there are splurges mixed in there too… YOLO, right? I 100% prefer online shopping to shopping in a store… Weird? Not sure. I just don’t like the crowds (or the salespeople) and there’s just something extra fun about getting packages delivered to your front door. Don’t you think?
About a year ago I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and had to drastically change my workout regimen from the high intense cardio I had been doing to slow-paced yoga workouts. What I didn’t know was how much I would fall in love with yoga. Of all the workouts I’ve done over the years I’ve never had a bond with any of them quite like the one I have with yoga. The breathing, the intentional movements, the mindset – all of it. And of course, nothing is better than a yoga sesh on the beach. The sea breeze, the sand between your toes – absolute best.
After having both boys I had 45lbs that just didn’t miraculously disappear after they were born. Imagine that? I struggled with self-image and body confidence for awhile before I made the decision to make a change. Yes, it entailed giving up all my favorites sweet treats and late night snacks – but I knew it would be worth it. Four years later I’ve lost 50lbs and maintained that weight loss and I work with other women to set their personal goals and a game plan of how to achieve them. It’s one of the most rewarding and fulfilling jobs (outside of motherhood, of course) I could have imagined to have.
